"Wow." "Holy Shit." "Fuck."
These are some of the phrases used after watching the above referenced documentary last night on Netflix.
Being a music nerd I've known the name Harry Nilsson for as long as I can remember. I knew the Lennon/Beatles connection. I've owned a 'Best Of' CD for years that I am sadly willing to admit I'd never actually listened to. No idea where or when I got it. Just one of those things you acquire with no recollection of how.
I am officially blown away and in love with a whole catalog of music I've somehow managed to ignore for far too long. This is like when I first heard Big Star, or watched 'The Wire' for the first time. It's like discovering a closet full of old Christmas presents from your youth you never opened. It's my own little secret that I want to tell the entire world about. Loudly.
I'm fucking smitten.
