Does anyone actually like Amazon? I mean we all buy from them, but do they have the type of fanbase that would buy this immediately based on the manufacturer alone? Apple, Samsung, Google and even Microsoft have evangelists who will buy any new mobile product simply to support the cause of their favorite company. Amazon doesn't have anywhere near the built in audience.
This phone will have to be amazing to gain any traction at all. My guess? It'll be soon forgotten just like the HTC Facebook phone, etc.
