Dangerous Toys were one of my absolute favorite bands of the late 80's. 3 amazing records (and 1 really bad one - more on that in a bit) that any fan of the genre should check out.

I finally got a chance to see them live in 1995 shortly after they released the 'Rtist 4merly Known As..' record. The album was a major departure from the whiskey and quaaludes soaked sound of their first 3 records, owing more to Nine Inch Nails and Ministry than to Aerosmith. The band proceeded to refuse to play anything off their earlier albums save a quick 5 minute medley and the "Scared" encore. One of the most disappointing shows I've ever seen.

Regardless, I don't have a single bad thing to say about their previous 3 albums. These were the soundtrack to my daily drive home from school for at least 2 years. These songs still sound like weed and cheap beer even 23+ years later. God bless 'em...
