June 30th

Today was “Change My Passwords Day”, a now every 3 month ritual. I go in and allow 1Password to auto-generate 15 to 20 character passwords for every login that would cause me serious issues if they were hacked. It ain’t fun, it ain’t sexy, but it gives me peace of mind that you can’t put a price tag on.

I implore anyone who may read this, make your passwords impossible to crack. There’s too many horror stories to not take this seriously. Don’t write them down on a sticky note and place them on your monitor. Don’t keep them in a text file on your desk top. Don’t use the same password for every site. Imagine what a determined hacker could do with access to your email, iTunes account, Amazon account, etc. It’s not a joke.
