'Well Now You're Here There's No Way Back'

While I'm an admitted 80's metal fan (as evidenced by my weekly posts every Monday), even I was surprised how great this documentary was.

Although I've never been that into Quiet Riot, I'd seen the classic lineup live a few times and know their catalog well enough to consider myself a fan. Their backstory was compelling enough even if I'd never heard a note of their music this still would've been entertaining.

The best part wasn't their history or the time spent discussing the years they were successful though, it was their struggle after Kevin Dubrow's death. I almost felt guilty and slightly voyueristic watching them hit rock bottom so quickly.

If nothing else I learned an important lesson, don't ever hire a guy to front your band who not only paints houses - but looks like he paints houses.
