Portland, Oregon natives Black N' Blue were originally best known for being produced by Gene Simmons. Despite the hype surrounding the affiliation, the band never made much of a mark. Their first single "Hold On To 18" (linked below) got decent MTV and radio play, but none of the followups ever garnered the same attention. By the time hair metal peaked in 1989 the band had already been broken up 2 years.

30 years later the band is more known for what a couple of members did following their split. Singer Jamie St. James replaced Jani Lane in Warrant in the mid 2000's and guitarist Tommy Thayer has spent the last 12 years playing the "Spaceman" role in Kiss.
